Patagonia's 3-in-1 Tres Parka

At Grey Rock, we've recently developed a love affair with Patagonia. Through our chats with many of you we were delighted to realize we seem to have a shared love for them. Which means we know you'll be just as excited as we are about their amazing 3-in-1 parka.

For those of you who are hearing of them for the first time, Patagonia is a company dedicated to building the best products that cause no environmental or social harm. They believe paying a living wage, which empowers their workers to make socially and environmentally conscious purchases. As if that wasn't enough, since its founding in 1973, Patagonia has donated over 70 million dollars to environmental grassroots organizations and campaigns.

Patagonia values complete transparency in their supply chain and developed a tool called the Footprint Chronicles to ensure this.

At Grey Rock we've been increasing our offerings in store from the brand and when we came across the 3-in-1 parka we knew we'd found our favourite piece. Available in both men's and women's, the 3-in-1 parka is comprised of an overcoat/rain coat, as well as a down-filled insulated undercoat.

The overcoat is H2No-certified, meaning it meets Patagonia's highest standards of both waterproofing and windproofing making it great for drizzly spring days. The down-filled undercoat is a perfect combination of style and coziness which is ideal for brisk autumn days. When put together, they form a parka that meets even the harshest Winnipegers' winter coat standards.

In terms of warmth, the 3-in-1 parka competes with the most popular winter coat brand in Canada. As for competing on price, not only is it significantly less, but you get three coats.

Here's a quick overview of the many well thought out details that really put this coat above any other.

What makes this parka even more unique is that it's made of 100% Traceable Down which is an idea pioneered by Patagonia. Traceable down means no birds were force-fed or live plucked for their down.

So with all of that, we hope you're as excited as we are to have Patagonia as part of the Grey Rock family.

P.S. Don't wait for it to get colder than a brass toilet seat in Winnipeg to come check them out.
