What is a Certified B Corporation?
As a certified B corp, we are among a community of businesses that “meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.”
Simply put, we strive to consider sustainability and social consciousness throughout our business processes.
Why is it important to us?
Community has always been a top priority for us at Grey Rock. Being a Certified B Corp puts us among a global group of businesses working toward creating a positive impact for their employees, communities, and the environment.
Who wouldn’t want to join in on that? And it’s a sentiment that is clearly near and dear to so many of our customers and fellow business owners here in Guelph. Many Guelph businesses are also certified B Corporations including some of our neighbours (hi Miijidaa!)
As B Corps, we are mandated to consider the impact of our business on all stakeholders, not just shareholders.
